Inspect local walnut, maple, and cherry boards to read the grain direction and match timber to the project.

Learn safe gouge control at the lathe or cut tight dovetails and mortises at the bench using traditional hand planes.

Sand through fine grits and hand-rub organic walnut oil and beeswax to seal the wood fibers for daily use.
